Live loose, don't lose!

8/23:
I'm glad I wasn’t late for the first class, which showed how trick a person my professor is......I guess it would be a good question for me to consider during this semester.

I went home to cook lunch and pick up a package for my roommate; I wonder when my textbook will arrive...........:S

I found that I can’t log onto MSN using the IP address in the lab; probably it’s a good thing...?

There are more people in the class as it’s an undergraduate one, which however also means graduate students have to do extra to pass....hope I can survive with the help from other students in our lab .

Didn’t do much in the lab but was seen as the last person in the office by the professor; will this count as a plus then? :P

It’s MOE’s time again and I remembered to refill the chips this time; the only problem is that it’s already 9pm when we left the restaurant.



No progress after going back home....I guess I should bring some food and study in the office....anyways I’ll try to wake up early and study tomorrow!

上課沒有遲到是個Safe，只是指導教授真的是個超級認真的人阿...(汗)，

到底要念ME還是MS呢....反正下學期才要決定所以先回家煮個午餐吃卡實在，

順便收了包裹，到底我的書什麼時候會來呢...(遠目)，吃完麵後回研究室報到，MSN不能上到底是好是壞呢？

下午的課終於有點人氣了，大學部的課果然比較多人，不過又是一堂要額外整研究生的課，只能希望同實驗室的一組power會比較強大@@，

回實驗事後又是無所事事，不過剛好被老闆看到我是留到最後的人，這樣有加分嗎@@?

晚餐莫名其妙的又到了MOE's報到，這次就有記得照像+refill薯片，只是垃圾話講一講就九點實在是太殺時間啦；

回到家又是沒什麼進度...看樣子真的要帶些食物去實驗室了...明天要早起念書!!

8/24:
Made a sandwitch in the morning; the last time was still in Europe :S

I love Bacon while it turned out that the ugly smell came from the cheese flavor bread........I wonder if it’s rotten already.....luckily I saved the chips and burrito last night for the lunch today.

It turned out that nobody did the reading in advance but we all survived as the professor was more chatting than teaching.....I guess this might be what the 500 (undergraduate) level is about...it's sad I can take at most two in total..:(

Had some chips in the office to kill time while setting my laptop to connect to the Internet.

Went playing basketball in the evening. Expensive the tuition it is compared to Taiwan, however, I’m always amazed how rich the resources each student can share, especially when entering the gym.

And I saw the band practicing which is pretty cool!



Anyways I had a good time playing basketball in the gym with good teammates and opponents.

It started raining cats and dogs right after I arrived home; lucky!

My roommate and I made a big dinner after I took a shower;



the remaining food should be perfect for lunch tomorrow while I always feel sleepy after eating...I guess the plan to wake up early in the morning and study will fail tomorrow........:S

早上做了久違的三明治，豬培根是好物阿!!

只是原來麵包本身是臭的(起司+過期?? :P)，多一個加上MOE'S refill的薯片&可樂剛好當今天的午餐，

下午課果然沒人有先念課前閱讀，不過老師上課的內容也太像在聊天了吧...這就是500級的威力!?

只能抵兩堂真是太可惜了，回研究室繼續吃薯片殺時間，只是電腦又在耍叛逆，居然連網路都不讓我上了，好險在重開後順利解決問題，

回家換個衣服來去打球，路上看到鼓樂隊練習真的蠻壯觀的，

又是高級到爆炸的體育館，念美國學校雖然被強制繳體育費但是每次看到這種設施都覺得很爽...

沒框沒球的情況在2我逛完體育館一圈後就解除是個good，

打二打二，Jason-Williams隊友好強，沒想到下一場老中爆氣把我們給投爆了，好險最後一場回神有稍微板回一下，

回到家後開始下大雨，剛好躲過真幸運，

洗個澡剛好Alex回來就煮了超級大餐明天還可以帶便當非常好!

只是吃完晚餐後果然就是廢柴模式...我猜明天早起念書計畫一定會失敗...

8/25
So the plan failed, as expected.

I was even a bit late for class; luckily I made it up by asking some questions so the class ended before starting the part I haven't read while there are more readings being assigned today....apparently it's gonna be a tough one. :(

Microwaved my lunch; delicious and plenty in quantity; perfectly fits gossip girl I have to say... :D



I took a nap (I think I should bring a pillow to office tomorrow....:P) after lunch.

The professor in the afternoon speaks kind of fast, luckily math is an universal language.

The only annoying thing is the absense of my textbook, which is actually more expensive than others’.... :(

I didn’t join the fried chicken dinner, planning to watch a free movie but found it actually not free.......so I went back to lab and found how great Gmail actually is; I’m gonna start using it from now on!

Later I went home to make fried rice for dinner...........can’t believe it’s already midnight when I finished; time to sleep after eating :P

早起念書計畫果然又失敗了，上課還遲到一點，

好險問了速度&速率問題浪費一些時間，所以還沒念到的地方都沒提到:P 只是又出了一堆Reading....老闆真的是很操...，

回研究室微波一下午餐，份量充實又好吃是個GOOD，配上Gossip girl只能說夫復何求；

睡午覺睡得很爽，之後帶枕頭來好了；

下午的課教授講話很快不好懂，但老美教的數學還難不倒我:P

只是......買的書比人家貴又沒來是怎樣!?

放棄了吃炸雞邀約學到了"天下沒有免費的電影"這件事情，回研究室繼續宅，發現了Gmail的好用之處!

肚子餓了回家做個炒飯就弄到快12點了@@ 吃飽就睡

8/26:

I think I can stop trying the waking up early to study plan......instead I might be able to write a thesis about how great the nap experience could be with a pillow...:P

I forgot to bring lunch box so I kept eating M&Ms....

The class at noon still sounds like chatting while two chapters are considered “finished”..........I guess I’ll have to study on my own :S

Now it feels bad when the teacher’s not harsh.........since the tuition is sooooo high!!

There’s a meeting for international students tonight at south quad, a luxurious dormitory with extraordinary lounge.

But I am afraid I won’t be able to afford the expensive rent each month.

There are many international students here, and the newest staff happen to be all girls.......

One interesting and surprising thing fact tonight is that so many people can speak Japanese!

But Japanese girls are all attracted by the handsome American guy who can speak English, Japanese and Deutch.....@@

The EPI (English program for International students) students actually live quite close to my place and I got to meet some Japanese and Korean students- rich people in my opinion....:P

Went back home and saw Charles and his wife and I traded my pot into a desk.......what’s next? :P

Suddenly it’s one o’clock again.........time flies faster at home I guess....:S

早起念書計畫都不想再實驗了....反而了枕頭去實驗室變的好睡很多 :P

忘了帶午餐有點餓只好一直吃M&Ms，中午的課感覺仍然很像在閒聊...只是兩章的內容就過去了....是都要自己念就對了= =?

學費這麼貴老師還這麼混...DAMN!

回研究室殺一下時間就前往南區宿舍，Lounge也太豪華，只是住起來太貴小弟我負擔不起，

來了好多人，選幹部當場報名好酷只是最後獲勝的好像都是女生...?

全場也太多人會說日文...只是最後還是敵不過英德日三通的西方臉孔@@，

不過原來EPI的人住的地方離我不遠，多認識了韓國人&日本人，都是有錢人就是了；

回到家看到Charles夫妻，用電鍋換到了書桌，NEXT?? :P 莫名的又突然一點多了，在家果然就是東摸摸西摸摸...

8/27:

It’s already noon when I really got out of the bed........don’t put the cell phone at a place where sleepy people can reach if one really wants to get up.....:S

And I shouldn’t start surfing the Internet when arriving the lab........I should have studied first!!

God knows why we only realize this simple fact when we run out of time....so I took a nap after having lunch and watching gossip girl....:S

There seems to be another free dinner tonight but it turned out to be another church thing......so I walked 30 minutes back home and cooked a big dinner with Alex.

Also we had a great dessert: not only did we discover how delicious Starbucks ice cream is but we also finish two cups of Haggen-Daz; I think it’s time to go buy more from Walmart! :P

睡起來就12點半了(驚)!!

看樣子手機要當鬧鐘真的就要放在拿不到的地方才行....，

然後到研究室的第一件事情也不應該是看網頁...要先念書~要先念書!! 不然肚子餓了吃完午餐配上Gossip Girl又想睡了....囧，

念了一點點書看到又有免費晚餐就來衝一發，只是原來又是教會招生，賭爛就走路半個小時回家，

跟Alex一起弄了五菜一湯的超豪華晚餐，

甜點除了發現星巴克冰淇淋很好吃外還finish掉兩桶Haggen-Daz，該去Walmart補貨了!!

8/28:
I arrived at the office at nine o’clock but finished the first season of Gossip girl instead of the readings left from last week......:S

Tonight is the welcome party for Taiwanese students in USC but we went to Chinese students’ welcome party first to have some food.



Then we went to a Japanese restaurant. There are so many people, cute girls included.......though they seem to be occupied already...:S

Opening the menu, I’m glad I had already eaten some food in advance upon seeing the price so I only ordered the plum wine:)

We had a good time so my face became red again (due to the wine)

The after party took place at our living room where we had chicken soup and chatted.

After seeing everyone off at 1:30, I believe it’s time to sleep!

好像很認真一樣的九點進研究室，但其實書沒看幾頁，倒是把Gossip girl第一季給看完了......結果根本是回到原點嘛!! 可惡!!

晚上是台灣人聚會，不過在開始前先前進中國同學會吃個免錢的打個底，接下來才前往好遠但好像很高級的日本餐廳，

超級多人的!! 妹倒也不少，只是似乎都名花有主了!?

食物都好貴好險剛剛有先打底，就只點了個梅子酒來喝，抽獎沒我的份也不太意外，好險獎品也沒有非常的驚人，不過跟大家(妹)聊天蠻開心的....

於是我又臉紅了? (笑)

結束後的after party是來我們家喝雞湯聊天，無限垃圾話亂發，

本晚主題是酸+醇=酯+水! 聊天到一點半真是太誇張...送客後就睡覺嚕

8/29:
It’s already ten o’clock when I woke up but I still went to the office even though it’s Sunday.

And I succesffully finished the reading instead of falling to gossip girl episodes.

Two other officemates also came in today but the most scary thing should be the presense of our professor.....OMG he’s really working hard :S
In the afternoon we drove Wendy’s car to Asian market.

The car is actually in good condition but the breakdown of the electrical devices made it really inconvenient....have to think about it!

There are many goods from Taiwan but the price is three to four times from home....it’s much more pleasant to shop at Walmart so we ended up buying food that can at least stand three weeks...:P



It’s already seven o’clock when arriving home; too late for the free pizza so we started cooking.

The full fridge actually looks nice........while I accidentally kicked the sofa and the nail of my foot became black and it hurts!
Anyways another week is about to start; fight!

睡起來就10點了，但是身為認真哥還是要進lab，沒有看Gossip girl終於把reading給念完了，

想不到禮拜天實驗室另外兩個人有來，最驚悚的是老師也有來...看樣子真的不好混阿@@，

下午試車順便去中國店&Walmart，車挺好開的，只是好多電子設施不能用實在是有點囧..得要好好考慮考慮；

在中國店看到不少台灣貨，只是這邊售價大概是三~四倍...實在是買不太下去...，

來到Walmart就解禁大開殺戒了，買了大概三個禮拜的糧食，回到家發現已經七點多了，免費pizza掰，只好乖乖開始煮飯，

看著堆滿滿的冰箱也蠻有成就感就是了:P 只是踢到沙發指甲馬上黑掉走路會痛有點囧...

總之東西買的差不多了，又要開始一個禮拜的奮鬥嚕!
