8/17:
I actually woke up early today but got trapped by the comics Naruto and One Piece; I haven’t updated the progress ever since I went to Europe. Should I be glad that Hunter X Hunter didn't renew at all for two months...?
Probably it's a punishment that I watch comics after waking up instead of making the first thing first, nothing went my way today......and the worst of it should be the rejection of my immunization form; what a waste of money and time...........I really hate blood test......why wouldn’t they just believe that I’m healthy? :(
As a result of the above unprosperous rejection and delay, I missed the campus tour :(
I got my student I.D card and bought a mug at the bookstore.
Then I got stuck again when registering courses, and the BBS system in Taiwan apparently doesn’t like my I.P address here because it’s soooooo slow!!
I fell asleep without eating dinner @@!

實蠻早就起床了，只是海賊王與火影忍者實在太吸引人，獵人從我去歐洲前到現在都沒更新也是蠻厲害的...
出門辦了一些手續不過今天似乎是以卡關收場為多，我想這是懲罰我早上起來不做正經事而看漫畫......
免疫X光結果被打槍，居然要一個月後再去花錢挨針...阿我就很健康阿你是想怎樣？還害我錯過校園導覽感覺很機車...
終於拿到學生證了，只是這裡的學生證是跟居民卡做在一起，好幾萬人都有的感覺就沒有很特別....(笑)，
在書店買了第二個紀念品-杯子，終於可以喝水了，但是選課就沒這麼順利，
此處上B都lag lag，難道從此就戒掉了?? 沒吃晚餐就昏迷過去。

8/18:
I woke up at three in the morning after falling asleep last evening.
The alarm (my cellphone) wasn’t able to wake me up just like back in Stanford so I was actually woken up by the train; yes, 3am in the morning!
I continued fighting with the paper work and all kinds of annoying thing after waking up at eight.
The course registration system kept blocking me even though I've talked to my advisor already; it always has new reasons to block me after I resolve the previous one; annoying!
It seems that I can take GRE anytime; it's better to start early I believe though.
There's a meeting of International students at noon, filled with international students and free pizza; nice!
There are some cute girls but it's really not a good starting topic asking if you have a car......no I don't!
Went back home to take a shower and then my professor asked me to meet him in the office. I think I'm fine with the three courses registered; I don't want to be sent back due to the failing of GRE.
Then I realized the time I spent in the grad student office was a total waste of time so I went there again, waiting for more than 40 minutes just for that two-minute conversation for her to remove the hold.
I guess I really don’t have the luck to join campus tour as I saw the walking out when I was still waiting. = =
It rained cats and dog in the evening; luckily I was at home........I think I need to buy an umbrella still though.
Finally I’m gonna start cooking my first meal in the States.
Opening my suitcase, I almost shed tears when seeing what my mom prepared for me; though my roommate had even more cookers and better cooking skill than I do; make sense as he’s gonna be here for at least 5 years......I guess I can worry less about cooking now :P
Felt sleepy again after dinner......I wonder if this can still be defined as jet lag though...

昨天回來就睡死到早上三點...設的鬧鐘就跟當初在Stanford一樣完全無效，不過三點還有火車再按喇叭...厲害，
睡到八點起床，弄一弄出門辦手續，指導教授都說好了就不要再Block我了好嗎....
GRE雖然幾乎天天都可以考不過還是要趕快開始準備比較好，
中午是國際學生會，有很多國際學生&免費的pizza是個GOOD!，
蠻多讓人眼睛一亮的女生只是大陸人可以不要馬上就把話題帶到你有沒有車這個問題上好嗎...而且忘了帶名片頗不方便 囧；
回家洗澡後又被call到系館，說過了我就三堂課就夠啦~我可不想因為GRE沒考好被遣返@@，
然後發現早上去研究所辦公室的會談根本就沒有用...等了40分鐘就只為了提醒他不要再put hold on me的兩分鐘...
看著大家走出門口只能說跟校園導覽真的無緣阿哭哭；
傍晚外面下起了超級大雨，好險我在家裡....不過有空還是去買個雨傘好了@@，
今天決定自己來煮個晚餐，
看到老媽幫我帶的炊具&食材都快哭了，有媽的孩子是個寶這句話果然沒錯；
不過室友煮菜的技術似乎更好，獲得了強力外援!?
吃完飯又想睡了....最近都半夜起床時差到底調好了沒阿....證明了原來不是考試前手機鬧鐘才會失效....切記切忌!

8/19:
Woke up before nine o’clock but fooled around until noon.
Almost showed up late in class as I couldn’t find the classroom.
There are less than 10 people in the class......lol
Got a seat in the office; feels more like a jail considering how close the apartment is to the office though.....@@
Finally meet Henry, who I got in touch with at the beginning and reminded me that I booked the wrong ticket.
We went to Walmart and I bought lots of stuff again;
I guess I’m closer to a fat guy as I had a big dinner with Haggen-daz the ice cream as dessert, let alone I went sleeping shortly after finishing assemblying a shelf.
What a healthy lifestyle I have in the states.......lol

九點前起床，只是混一混又中午了，找不到教室差點遲到，人好少的一堂課...
下午獲得了研究室的位置，只是離家這麼近的研究室感覺其實更像監獄@@；
傍晚見到了神交已久的Henry，Walmart大採購，新目標是增肥到免役標準!?
晚餐好豐盛，再配上Haggen-daz實在是太爽快，只是釘完櫃子瞌睡蟲又上來了...健康的美國生活@@?

Explore northern part of campus and the state house before going to the bank.
Finally got a bank account set up and deposited all the traveler’s checks in; less worries about thief or robbery now. :P
The textbook here, just like the tuition, is horribly expensive; they are almost five times the price in Taiwan!!
Pretty familiar as I’ve heard before, It’s Friday night!
The Korean attendant in the pub is really cute, the atmosphere is great.
The only problem may be the beer she recommended to me.
Seemingly too strong for me that I almost fell asleep in the pub and got kicked out; not really something to show off as my first drinking experience in the U.S....lol

8/20: 下午終於開好戶，終於有種settle下來的感覺，只是Textbook好貴...這邊買一本台灣真的是可以買五本了....
晚上去pub，服務的韓國妹很正，只是推薦的啤酒後勁強烈.......第一次跟大家一起出去就掛掉了真囧

8/21:
The alcohol last night kept me asleep until noon today. We had a big lunch with three dishes and a soup (you'll consider that really big the first time you cook it yourself)
It's already 3pm when we finished lunch, then we went to the welcome party of Chinese church.
I think what we cooked for lunch actually tastes better but this one is free, let alone they have a basketball court and it's a good chance to meet other new students here.
The only problem might be that I was totally in a Chinese speaking environment; it doesn't feel like I'm in the states at all!! We went to Charles, another Taiwanese PhD student's place and chatted until one o'clock before going back to sleep.

酒精讓我一路好眠到中午才起床，豪華的三菜一湯午餐，吃完午餐都要下午三點了真墮落的生活...
華人迎新也太多人了吧...食物比不上室友煮的~有籃球場倒是很不錯，
只是這樣都在講中文看到的都是東方面孔完全沒有出國的感覺阿....(爆)，
結束後到學長家喇賽到一點才回家；快來睡覺@@

8/22:
I don't know why but I think the ham stinks when cooking breakfast....
There was an all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet lunch invitation right after my breakfast.
I didn't eat much as the dishes are kind of dizzy and I was still full as I just finished breakfast. 11 dollars.....I guess it's not too bad...?
Finished my shelf even though we assembled it upside down.
I think I was relatively lucky since the next one collapsed and fell into pieces....lol
Also I finally figured out the effective rife for my Bluetooth headset.
After finishing washing the dishes, we had the last big dinner before semester starts tomorrow: a dinner is not completed without Haggen-Daz as dessert.
And it’s just so natural now that I feel sleepy right after eating.
Continuing my healthy life!

為什麼我覺得火腿是臭的....?
剛吃完早餐就有人邀去吃中餐吃到飽，結果還真的是吃中餐.....，
剛吃完早餐+菜太油讓我戰力低下，不過11元就有吃到飽應該還是算便宜的中式料理吧@@，
雖然最上面訂反，不過終於完成了我的櫃子；櫃子三號居然自體毀滅了...，
參透了藍芽耳機的射程，
洗了好多碗後吃開學前最後的豐盛晚餐!? 當然Haggen-Daz是少不了的!
吃完飯後就會想睡覺...好好過我的健康人生 :P
