Arrived at Chicago in the early morning, perfectly in time for the next connecting flight to Charlotte.

I should have bought some drink and food before boarding; I simply didn't know we could bring those thing up to the plane.....luckily the flight time is not too long. The plane became smaller and smaller but this time the set is quite comfortable.

After a comparitively short flight, I arrived at Charlotte, two hours away but already the closest city to Columbia I can get a plane ticket to this time.

The airport at Charlotte is pretty nice with free Wifi and power outlets. I guess that's why "The Terminal" would be possible! :p

Public transportation here, on the other hand, is apparently not so sweet...As I haven't applied a cellphone yet, I tried to call a private shuttle company through the telephone booth.

Luckily the lady at the information counter kindly lent me her cellphone after I wasted 2 dollars on the public phone without any achievement.

But the result is sadly another two hour wait....and I didn’t go to either the restroom nor grab some food as the two big suitcases I had are really hard to carry around.

1:30 in the afternoon, a minivan came to pick me up, along with another girl, who I believe is the main reason why I had to wait for two hours.

Anyways I slept all the way until dropped in front of the house I’m going to stay for at least one year.

My future roommate is not at home but he left a note on the door stating that he hid the key behind the spring festival scroll; how could he be so sure that other people won’t recognize Chinese!?

The rent is $352.5 per month including electricity and water; I guess that’s why I felt like entering skating rink when opening the door.

The space we have is really big, and the best thing should be that furniture and Internet are already set!

Leaving all the stuff home, I went to see my professor ; seems like a good person......hope he’s what he looks like....

Arriving back home, meeting my roommate Alex and his friend Kevin, a student from China that knows Taiwan pretty well and had a car!

So we went to Walmart for my first day purchase.

I think a hundred for settlement is acceptable; thanks to the fact the mascot of USC is cock, not so attracting so I didn’t spend much on its product.

It’s been quite a while since the last time I used traveler’s check so I signed at the wrong place, so embarrassing!

The first meal here is Burrito, Mexican food as we are “south.”

I’ was full already when finished chips and the unlimited drink.....I feel the trend of getting fat now.......maybe I’ll be too fat to join the military when I go back...:P

Other Taiwanese students seems pretty nice but it’s quite shocking that almost everyone is in a REALLY steady relationship....

Setting up my room a little bit and it turned out to be 4 o’clock in the morning already........should go to bed before sunrise....lol

早知道什麼怪東西都以帶上飛機就先買了,好險飛行時間還不算太長@@;

機場又沒有賣SIM卡,在花了兩塊打電話後還是好險有好心的櫃檯小姐借我手機叫車;

然後居然要等兩個多小時,行李很多害我又不能去上廁所/吃飯,只好坐在機場地上宅;
