A rushing homework, fourty minutes work before the class started.

I typed it at six thirty in the morning in Tressidor.

========================================================

Time flies!

It’s surprising that a week is about to pass by!

Everything’s just different here!

I did come to SF before, but that was about ten years ago,

all I can remember is something like Disney land and the like.

However,

this time I will live here at Stanford for a month rather than just going

around the famous spots and I’m going to stay here with many “strangers”

from other Asian countries.

Plus, I’ll take a class here and learn do a research.

So I think it’s going to be a different experience this time.

In the past five days, the day we arrived excluded,

I just learn the see so much here!

We have English classes in the morning,

which includes effective communication and topic development,

both are going to improve our English and teach us the skill to make a

research paper.

While in other time we’re permitted to do whatever we like,

as long as we finish our homework given by the teachers.

After our campus tour,

we see much difference here in Stanford compared to NTU,

which is the best one in Taiwan.

First of all, the campus is much larger than I had expected.

Secondly, every building is so beautiful here.

Each one is like a library, which in Taiwan would the most beautiful

building in the school.

I thought it was a villa the first time I saw the students’ dorm.

And I think it would be a great experience to study in their library

where each room is gorgeous.

And there’s no trash on the street, the road is just so clean.

What’s more, the bookstore is the largest one I’ve ever seen,

it’s just like a department store where you just can find anything

in addition to books, souvenir, cloth, etc.

Last but not least, they just have fantastic scene here as well.

It’s hard to imagine a lake as the size of a baseball court.

I’m just amazed at each spot in the campus.

Just like every camp held in Taiwan,

we play icebreaker here.

Despite quite different from those we’re accustomed to,

it did help to get us know each other better.

And actually, everybody is just so nice!

I had already made dozens of foreigner friends with a mere five days

– much faster than I had expected!

We just went shopping together yesterday to the Stanford shopping center and

it was really cool.

There are department store, Starbucks, McDonald’s and many other stores

that sell cloth, accessories, and so on.

And there was a jazz play there. We just have so much fun!

However, I do pay a price for playing to hard. In fact,

I just join every activity available here.

And it left me no time for studying, reading or writing my homework.

So I have to stay up late to make up.

It’s kind of painful to write homework after midnight,

especially when people around you just go to bed and it is really cold here!

I really want to stay in bed!

However, I’m not going to quit either learning or playing.

Since there’s only a limited time here,

I just want to treasure every moment and have the most joyfulness,

learn the most, make as many friends as possible,

and try to talk to each person in English in this month.

Before I come, I think there would be nothing special here.

But after these five days,

I’ll say that it’s really a trip that broadens my horizon.

I just see a diversity of elite people.

I just experience a totally different school life.

I’ll say : It’s the best trip I’ve ever had!
