Today is the first day for the scheduled Korean trip which I've been looking forward to for quite a long while!

Naomi, Mandy, Shelly, Steven, Thomas and I are starting our six day Korean trip from this afternoon while Chris, James, Flora, Wen and his girlfriend will join us from Saturday.

Our plane is 2 p.m in the afternoon so we gathered together at noon and took the bus to the airport.

Mandy's name was misspelled by the travel agency so we met some trouble when checking in our luggages.

Though she can leave the country without problems here but there's a chance she might be stopped by the Korean custom when we return.

Well.........time will tell so don't panic, Mandy. :P

Girls went shopping as soon as they see the duty-free shops; girls' style, I think.

Boys simply walked around some souvenir shops and ate some samples of Taiwanese snacks before boarding.

I was quite amazed at the meal on the plane.

Considering the cheap price, the personal TV and the model-like flight-attendant are truly beyond my expectation!

No wonder this airline enjoys a great customer satisfaction!

We arrived in Korea after two hours, during which we tried our best to memorize some Korean sentences. :P

It's kind of shocking to see the temperature outside being Celsius zero degree and the moment walking out from the cabinet I felt like back to Sanfransisco Airport again- freezing, so we started dressing ourselves of our heavy warming equippment.

But zero degree is still acceptable here, probably because it's drier than Taiwan here.

Only the chilly winds reminded us how cold it is; a great thanks to the inventor of hats and gloves!

Then we saw Rosa & Sujeong waiting for us outside the custom.

After buying T-money, we took the subway from the airport to the city.

The heater in the subway was so strong that we can't help but took off our heavy jackets when getting in and put them on again when getting off while Korean seem to be fine with it- amazing!

Due to our late arrival and the freezing weather, our schedule was tremendously changed.

Instead of taking the tourist boat to visit river Hankang, we went having Korean BBQ as dinner.

It's really delicious and I'm so pleased since the main dish is pork rather than beef!

Youngpyo and Sujeong started making people drink immediately even they are busy cooking.......

Now I understood what happened to Adam. :P

Youngpyo made a microphone with empty alcohol bottles for Sujeong to sing, another drinking culture I'm amazed at in addition to my Korean friends open the cap of alcohol with merely spoon during TSA2009.

The food is so delicious and each of us got a small blanket; how nice!!

We returned to our room after dinner...............and started drinking again......!!

Hey it's only the first day!!!!

The heater in the room also works too well that we feel sooooo hot and there's only one cable while we have three laptops!!

This makes me feel bad, considering the price we paid.

Maybe we should have chosen another hotel.

But we chose this one which contains two bed rooms and a living room and ktchen that can accomodate everyone including our

hospitable Korean hosts!

Rosa stayed with us tonight and we discussed about our schedule in the following days before sleeping.

My original plan is too rush to realize.

Well........it doesn't matter at all since the most important thing is to meet my lovely Korean friends!

Go to bed @ 2 a.m; it's called "early" in XLC programs. :P
