I had been super busy this October after Nobu's TLC program for preparing the application of graduate school and the school works undone due to my late start this semester.
I also spent time sending postcards and giving presents I brought from Japan.
What's more, I still take the most allowable credits and sit it another six credits of classes.
Hmm........gotta work harder, right?
In the course of high-tech factory, we went to the nano research center in NTU, which I didn't even know its existence before. :p
It's my first time dressing like this!
Our group are gonna take this as the topic of our final term presentation.
My groupmates are some EMBA students so our group discussion takes place at one of the groupmate's office, which is near our campus and very nice!!
He's the boss of the company and there's a big, clean, bright presentation room with a big screen.
Apparently he's quite a successful enterpriser.
Another fun thing is that we finally had our celebration party of holding 2009TSA.
It's already two months after TSA but I heard that Japanese also had a drinking party couple of days ago- Civil engineering style, I guess. :P
We went to a sukiyaki restaurant but I forgot to take pictures; I spent most of the time eating and accosting the cute clerk. :P
I wish I can go TSA2010 @ Japan next year......but who knows what would it be next year. :(
My family had a family activity in a Saturday evening.
We first went to the hot spring place owned by the bank my father works in.
How nice it is to enjoy the comfortable hot spring with merely 50 NT dollars per person!
Then we went having the delicious and famous soup dumpling- my treat!
It's not reasonable that I only treat my foreign friends but my family!
It's really nice to hang out together with family. :)
But this late good turn doesn't seem to worth anothe. :(
Both of my application of graduate were rejected, not even having a chance to interview.
Come on..........is it too over to buy your 15 minutes with 1500?
Though every professor cheered me up afterward, saying that I'm a unique & special student blah blah......
Hmm.......I don't want to talk; the winner takes it all.
It's understandable.......even though I don't really agree the way to be that kind of winner.......whatever.....
The camp for SSSH freshman also met some problems.
We did have a good time at the previous visit to the possible site, which is in Wu lai, a place I had been there several times but always skip this play land due to the terrible looking cable car.
However, weather condition is always unpredictable- we had a typhoon alert so we decided to postpone the camp, partly because the approaching midterm week as well.
I eliminated, or say, stop the motivation for holding this camp at the first night of the original schedule of the camp.
I'm a man with plan; it's just another lesson learned.
The least return and most painful investment is the wish to change another person.
Oh..........I took the TOELF test at the first day of November.
The questions in the exam I took happened to be exactly the same with the one two years ago but I didn't check the past exam questions due to my laziness.
What's worse, I made some mistakes.
It's a quick return, huh? :(
But TOELF test is not that scary as I expected, I think I can do a better job next time after improving my listening ability.
October is not so smooth........
