It's Set.21,2008 today.
Nine years ago there was a huge and severe earthquake that stoke Taiwan,which killed 2000 people, having a great impact to Taiwan.
Time strikes so fast, I remember I was in the sixth year of elementary school then.
But there are still traces of that disaster, in both the environment and people's mind.
While the building near the railroad crossing which my father used to worked inside collapsed was still not finished reconstruction(The only one left undone duringg the passing nine years), today is also another memorable for Taipei city.
The construction of the underground railway rails and stations are finally finished, which means that the last six railroad crossings remained on the ground would be no longer used.
The railroad crossing is not far away from my home and is actually something that played an important part of my life.
I still remember the time I was studying in the liberary next to the railroad crossing, when I simply considerd the noise to be annoying and disturbing.
And in my childhood, waiting for crossing the rail to go to the Mcdonald's or to go the night market.
And after I started to ride motorcycle and have a tutor, it's place where I have to wait for the train to pass first.
It's a place where people used to complaining about the noise and waste of time.
However, when it's about to vanish, now people feel sentimental about it, which they never did.
This feeling...... I think it's similar to say goodbye to the home court of the New York Yankee, which is tomorrow.
hmm.............
So I think it's just another proof that we simply take everything in our lives as granted until we are or we already lost them.
We are, despite we don't want to, always facing the change of the environment around us since nothing stays forever.
It's sometimes unchangeable and irreversible.
What we can, and what we should do is to take charge and treasure every of the present instant.
It's about trying our best to make the best use of and keep a record of the present.
