After a haircut in the morning,

I spend the whole day packing since it's already the day to leave but I still didn't finish it.

And at night I brought the luggage, under the typhoon striking Taiwan to National Taiwan University to get on the bus to the airport.

Due to the typhoon, my shoes got wet when I arrived the airport, since I don't want to wear a pair of wet shoes on the plane for almost one day.

Therefore, I took off the shoes and put it in the luggage and change another pair of shoes.

Due to the express way in the city and highway, we arrived the airport very soon.

And when were putting the luggage, Vanessa's luggage was luckily just 22.9 kilograms, since that the limit is 23 kilograms. How lucky she is.

If one's luggage is more heavy than that, he had to pay extra money for it.

While mine was only 17 kilograms-EASY!!

Somethiing I noticed here is that I forgot to bring the invitation by Stanford.

It's really bad since it's the most powerful to explain why I go to the states.

However, I was not along since four students including me forgot to bring it.

After asking the teacher to send me a copy print of that invitation, I decided not to worry about it until arriving America.

Due to the typhoon striking Taiwan, the plane took off later than schedulle for half an hour, at about twelve o'clock.

Actually I don't know what's going on outside since I was not sitting on the aisle seat.

But accroding to the flying map on the plane, we flied over the typhoon, which is actually nothing special,

no shaking or what, even the turbulence we met later has more powerful effect on us.

And I believe that there's some wrong with the map, since the destination shows Taiwan and the departure place was Sanfransisco, which leads to the result that we were moving away from the destination to the departure place.

And what surprised me is that no long after the plane took off, the flight attendants served the meal, after I said three times of " I don't want to have food now, can you just give me iced water only?"

It's one o'clock in the morning Taiwan time.

Oh mine, it's not like studying in the school liberary and staying up the whole night!!

Usually I don't have food at this time......

And five minutes after saying to me that there's no chicken available now, the fly attendant just served the one in front of me chicken.....

And what I got was fish, which is really really..... so far away from food..... let along delicious!!

I really don't like food on the plane!!

It's like an interesting saying I head before to describe ugly food around the NTU campus:

"They kill the food twice. for the first time they took their lives away, and for the second time, they took their taste ...."

And after falling sleep without conscious while the movie on show was 21, which is not a bad one but sadly I already viewed it before this trip, The captain announced that we are almost there but can't just land down since there are too many planes wanting to land.

And the view outside the plane was nice.

but.....they say it's almost eight o'clock at night..... not kidding!! [which I found is really true since the longitude here]

Then I fell asleep again due to the headache by the change of pressure in the cabin.

After getting off the plane, we passed the U.S custome.

Luckily the situation: "Sir, I'm afraid that I can't let you pass since you didn't bring the invitatin card issued by Stanford." didn't happen- good happen that I came with the school group!

Actually the official in the custom is not as horrible as expected.

I don't even have to explain the reason why I didn't bring it nor what the paper I attached in the passport was- it's the proof admitting boys who hadn't finished the military training to go abroad, which must be applied before passing the Taiwanese custom to go abroad.

And I saw "men's restaurant" on the way to the luggage place....

It's something I didn't see before in Taiwan.......

Then I understood it should be " men's restroom" rather than "men's restaurant" after I saw women's restroom later on.

I guess I'm simply hungry >\\\<

Walking out the airport with luggage, this temperature...... it's exactly the feeling what I had here ten years ago- arriving from Hawaii.

The temperature is only 13 Celsius degree..... it's called cold current in Taiwan!!

What's worse, I'm already wearing the warmest cloth on the plane since the warmest one I brought from Taiwan is mere a long sleeve shirt.

And the hosts of this program were really good at recognizing students in this program, let along they have a big poster- it's simply impossible to miss them.

And we also met a big group of young fellows from Taiwan.

Oh mine.... it's really strange to see so many Taiwanese.... I thought I'm in SF!!

It would definitely be cool if I met someone here.

I'm looking forward to a story happened in the film " Turn left, Turn right." >\\\<

We arrived Stanford campus after the rushing bus ride....[ it was driving really fast while I still saw cars passing us even faster....- I think powerful vehicles are really useful here... not like in Taiwan, where they can't show they true power.]

Marveling at the broad and fast highway, the complex building and roads through them, the Stanford campus is really really big.

Now I understnad the meaning of University City.... it's really really big.

And I also saw a superbike, with the rider wearing all the equipment and riding safely.

It's another things which I think is useful here but no i Taiwan......

Then we arrived our dorm ,where our Korean and Japanese students who had already arrived in the morning came out welcoming us.

It's like what my teacher said before, you'll find Taiwanese girls more beautiful after you're abroad.

But I think the rule fits all Asian girl as well.

After taking the key and eating the pizza(the pizza here were so big, exactly the size of the "box" containing pizza in Taiwan!!), I can't find my roomate, who is still in his final exams and will arrive the next day.

Ok.... at least I'm luckier than Ed, whose roomate won't join the program and he had to sleep along for the whole monty.

Maybe it's gonna be lonely tonight~ XD

Well....at least the ugly smell of the wet shoes I put inside the luggage won't scare my roomate.

And since the setting of the internet is not completed yet, I was so bored and went to bed at about two o'clock.

And cuz it's kind of cold.... I just took the blanket from my roomate's bed....XD

in my room
